Koelis announces new products at American Urology

GRENOBLE, France and PRINCETON, NJ, May 11, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Koelis, SAS (“Koelis” or the “Company”, www.koelis.com), a leader and innovator in the treatment of prostate cancer, has today announced the launch of new products at the prestigious annual meeting of the American Urological Association in New Orleans, LA.

Koelis will host live and interactive demos on its booth #1201 from May 13and to May 15and to demonstrate the proprietary technology and new features of its Trinity 3D imaging and fusion platform.

New products include focal cryoablation guidance software (“ProMap-FT™”); disposable transperineal biopsy grids (“Perine Grids™”); and MRI processing software (“ProMap Lite™”). Each of these new products complements the Koelis Trinity® MRI-US fusion image guidance system. The Trinity System integrates versatile 3D ultrasound imaging with proprietary MRI-US fusion image guidance that includes the company’s unique prostate motion tracking software (OBT Fusion®). The Koelis Trinity® The system is a single, space-saving system that does not require interfacing with an external ultrasound imaging system or external electromagnetic sensors.

Mark Rooney, Vice President and General Manager of Koelis in the United States, said, “We believe these new product launches are proof that we are listening to our urology customers and our academic partners who are leading a paradigm shift in patient care. of prostate cancer. »

ProMap-FT™ expands the Koelis focal prostate ablation treatment product line to include planning and guidance software for cryoablation. With built-in isothermal specifications, ProMap-FT software is compatible with each of the two major cryoablation system vendors. Use of Koelis proprietary Fusion OBT® technology, ProMap-FT also has a unique ability to safely and accurately track cryoablation needles to any targeted prostate cancer lesion. Promap-FT also offers versatility by allowing 3D guidance of laser fibers or any other interventional needle.

Single Use Perine Grids™ includes both “full” and “mini” versions of the company’s popular reusable transperineal needle guides. By minimizing both cross-contamination and sterilization time and labor, Koelis single-use perineal grids will help support the transition from transperineal prostate biopsy to an in-office procedure.

ProMap Lite™ is a software-only version of the Koelis MR-Draw™ Biopsy Planning Workstation. Designed to be compatible with PCs and radiology workstations, ProMap Lite will add flexibility and efficiency to the workflow required to access and process a patient’s MRI prior to their fusion-guided biopsy. ProMap Lite is the first step in the Koelis strategy that will eventually add AI and cloud-based functionality to the Trinity system.

Antoine Leroy, co-founder and CEO of Koelis, concludes: “Our mission is to constantly innovate to offer prostate biopsy and targeted treatment technology that advances the quality of prostate cancer care. prostate. We also seek to provide the highest level of versatility in technology choices for physicians and their patients. We are committed to supporting precise and safe prostate procedures, whether these procedures are performed with or without MRI-US fusion, whether they are transrectal or transperineal, or whether they are followed by active surveillance or treatment.

About Koelis: Based in Grenoble, France, Koelis has been a pioneer and leader in MRI-US fusion image guidance technology for over 10 years. Featuring proprietary 3D ultrasound and prostate motion tracking software (OBT Fusion®), the Koelis Trinity® facilitates more accurate biopsy diagnosis and enables “focal” prostate cancer treatment alternatives to traditional “total” organ treatments such as surgical prostatectomy and radiation therapy. The Company’s commitment to minimally invasive treatments for prostate cancer includes a multi-center clinical registry (“Violette”, NCT04582656) in Europe based on Trinity-guided microwave ablation technology.
