Pinnd launches UK-made CS2 pedal

Pinnd now delivers its first component, the CS2 Flat Mountain Bike Pedal, made in Scotland.

The brand took part in the EWS in Innerleithen from October 1-4 to present its first product to e-MTB / MTB enduro riders.

With a long history of precision engineering in aerospace and medicine, the brand decided to enter the bicycle components market when the pandemic affected their normal operations in 2020. Being precision engineers, pilots of Supermoto and Electric Mountain Bikes, the motivation was to create a UK made in-house product under their control with a design that emphasizes reliability and longevity.

Pinnd pedals (except bearings) are made in-house in their family-owned factory and the CS2 pedal was designed to specifically address the most common issues that cyclists face. The pedal features an aluminum body shaped on a 5-axis CNC machine and titanium spindles as standard. The heavily machined body with a large 9mm concave area hides the internal components, which have been designed to keep the elements out and lubricate.

Using a needle bearing on the inner side working behind an oil shaft seal, the internals are set to run longer than most. There is also a 5 year warranty against manufacturing defects – made possible by in-house design and manufacturing. The CS2 comes with stainless steel pins that feature a 4mm socket removal method and tapered design for added strength.

The CS2 is easy to service at home in minutes and all parts are available after-sales.

The CS2 is available in a black or natural anodized finish with a laser engraved mark and is priced at £ 195 including tax. Additional colored alloy pins or natural finish titanium pins are available.
